Within seven months of its inception, the Proto-College of Saint Dionysius attempted an ambitious medium-scale SCA event, known as the Frostbane Festival. An exceptional five-course meal was served by our masterful cook, Ysemay Rede, and there was much singing, dancing, carousing and general making merry! Below you may see some photos which chronicle this momentous occasion in the College's history. If anyone has some photos from the Festival that we don't know about yet, please contact Tristan right away.

The tables are garnished, the candles are lit, the food's on its way... Should be a wonderful night for all involved! |
The evening begins modestly, and the good gentles of the College (and elsewhere in the Crescent Isles) take their seats. |
The feasting table fills up as Ildhafn's nobles gather to the Festival. Visible are: Lord Kaspar von Helmenstedt (foreground left), Lady Æsa Hrölfsdöttir (fourth from right), Lord Androu le Greyn (third from right) and Rosamund Musgrave (second from right). |
The head of the table; Tristan (left) looks gormless and William (right) gets red-eye. Also visible further back is Isabella (third from left). |
Sadly, Thomas is not in fact drunk in this photo, as it appeared to us at first glance. That's water in that vessel, not something more potent. ;) |
Following the fourth course of the feast, the gentles assemble on the dance floor. |
Dancing the Black Alman. In the foreground are (left to right): Katherine of Glastonbury, Guðrún Halldísardóttir, Amalie of Southron Gaard and Christopher. |
A College favourite: the Turkish Bransle! Ysemay finally comes out to play, having cooked up a storm in the three-metre-square kitchen. William, avoid the shiny shoes next time! :P |
Another photo of shiny shoes. Uh, I mean... the Turkish Bransle. From left to right: Ivan Sergeyevich, Isabella McPike, Thomas Percy (background), William Paine, and Tristan d'Avignon (background). |
As the Festival winds down, the lovely Sibyl of Ildhafn helps us pack up. |

The Dionysian crew! Left to right: Amalie of Southron Gaard, Isabella McPike, Tristan d'Avignon, Lady Alana the Traveller (kneeling), Ysemay Rede, Ivan Sergeyevich, Daphne Cohen, Sibyl of Ildhafn, Thomas Percy and Christopher (ambassador of the Sith). Thank you one and all for your help! |
